Charles Gamble Profile

One of the lesser publicized prospects – Durham (N.C.) Southern linebacker Charles Gamble – has been keeping a low profile when it comes to recruiting and for good reason. The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder, who owns a 4.50-second forty-yard dash time, has placed his concentration on his senior season.

"Well, I start with my football team on July 19th," remarked Gamble. "I [have] been working out a lot with my team lately so I really can't do any camps. I plan to take my official visits after the season."

Despite the current lack of focus on recruiting, college coaching staffs have taken notice of Gamble's skills with Clemson, South Carolina and Virginia Tech all extending an offer. Additionally, Miami, Alabama, North Carolina, and NC State, among others, are expressing interest for the versatile athlete.

In turn – even with his focus elsewhere – Gamble has developed strong favoring for two schools. He does admit, however, it's still very early and that he has yet to research any school.

"Virginia Tech and South Carolina are my two top choices, and Clemson is right behind them," stated Gamble. "I got to get looking into [Virginia Tech and South Carolina] right now. I like the fact that they offered me and that they are both good football programs."
