Columbia Back Exploring All His Options

Mike Davis is a traveling man this summer, but he could hit the road even more this fall. The Columbia (S.C.) running back is trying to stay so open that he does not want to limit his official visits.

"I want to wait to cut my list until I go on my visits. I am going to try to pay for trips to all the schools because I really want to see all of them in person," says the 5-foot-10, 210 pounder.

That list includes UCLA, Kentucky, Wake Forest, NC State, North Carolina, Ohio State, Auburn, Alabama, South Carolina, Clemson, and Marshall. He was able to camp with three already this summer.

"I went to North Carolina, Clemson, and South Carolina. They were all great, and I am going to Auburn and Alabama as well."

Davis also camped in Charlotte at the D1 football camp with most of his offense.

"That was a great camp for me. The rain just made it more fun. I was at a disadvantage there and at the USC camp because we can't hit anybody."

He has plenty of opportunity to make up for lost hitting time this fall as Davis will have more than his fair share of carries.
