Editor's Note: Gamecock fans need to be aware that recent events lead us to believe that South Carolina is still in the hunt for all Conway athletes considered Division I prospects this season. Wallace is one of them. We are advising all Gamecock fans that with the success of this season, so goes the success of South Carolina's recruiting fortunes for the Class of 2005. As Yogi once said, 'It ain't over 'till it's over.' The Gamecocks are definitely still in the hunt for the Conway players - all of them.

Conway running back Bobby Wallace is one of the top prep players in South Carolina. He has received interest from Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Michigan, Ohio, and Ohio State. "I'd have to say that USC sends me the most mail," says the 5-foot-9, 180 pounder. "I don't really have any favorites. I like everyone right now. I'm wide open."

Wallace attended prospect camps at Clemson and Georgia.

"I had a good time at those camps. They were pretty good. I learned a lot of stuff and how they run things at both schools."

Wallace hopes to have a fast start during the 2004 season as all of the colleges recruiting him are still evaluating him.

"The coaches want to wait on offering me until they watch my first couple of games and see how I play. I'm going to wait and see what happens.

"I don't really know when I'm going to make a decision to tell you the truth. Hopefully I will get some offers pretty soon so I can start to decide on where I'm going."
