The excitement continues to grow for the South Carolina football program since the arrival of Steve Spurrier last November. Since his hiring, it was announced that the Gamecocks' first three games will be televised nationally, the Garnet and Black Spring Game was televised nationally by ESPN2 and ESPNU, Spurrier appeared as a guest on ESPN SportsCenter's Sunday Conversation and was also featured on ESPN2's Cold Pizza. In addition, he was featured on The Golf Channel's Top Shelf Wednesdays.
Spurrier owns the highest winning percentage in the history of the Southeastern Conference. During his 12 years at Florida, he led the Gators to six outright SEC Championships and the 1996 National Title.
