Big Time DB Drawing Attention

He is one of the more interesting instate prospects in the state of South Carolina this season. The question is, and we do not know the answer just yet, but the question remains, will the young secondary talent at South Carolina affect his final decision? ...

Winnsboro (S.C.) Fairfield Central safety Darius Gaither had an impressive showing at the Hoover Passing Tournament, including a few interceptions and even snagging several nice catches as a wideout. It is no wonder why Gaither is a hot commodity on the recruiting trail and the passing tournaments.

"I'm looking at NC State, UNC, Wake Forest, Tennesse, Maryland, Auburn, Clemson, and South Carolina," says the 6-foot-1, 200 pounder. "I haven't really thought about narrowing it down, I have just been doing a lot of seven-on-sevens, so I am just focusing on what I am doing right now."

Gaither and Fairfield Central just completed its fifth and final passing tournament of the summer before workouts begin later this week. He believes that in the end, his team is stronger thanks to playing against the top players in each tournament.

"It is good to see talent from all over the place, play them, and see where we stand."
