Kevin Young is a name that's quickly rising up the recruiting charts in the state of Florida. His offer total is approaching 30 at the current time and 3 of schools have the lead in the race for his signature. Who are they?
"I have close to 30 offers right now. I have all the big 3 in Florida and a bunch of other schools. I've pretty much narrowed it down to Miami, Florida State and South Carolina though," Kevin Young said.
Young denies that there's a leader at this time and offered these thoughts on why he favors the Canes, Noles and Gamecocks.
Miami: "I've always been a fan of Miami. My room is actually painted orange and green. They're my favorite team but I need to make sure they're the best thing for me. They have a bunch of linemen and I'm looking at playing time so I need to figure that out before I'm ready to name them my leader or anything."
Florida State: "I went up there for the camp and FSU has great coaching. You've got Bobby Bowden and just an awesome team. I know a lot of guys that go there and it's just a popular school."
South Carolina: "I went there for camp and I really liked it. I got to meet Coach Spurrier and he's just a great guy. He doesn't just look at you as a number but more like a friend."
Young is ready to get the season underway.
"We start this weekend. We play Martin County on Friday and I'm just ready to get started. My goals for this year are to get a lot stronger and faster. We have three all-state players and I want to get a ring on my finger now. To be able to look back on my senior year and say that's the best year I played would mean a lot to me."
