4-star Wide Receiver Names Leader
"We won the State Championship, and now we're going to the National Championship on December 9. Everything's been going good. Personally, I'm doing good. I've played quarterback a little bit and receiver this year. I haven‘t put up the same numbers at receiver as last year, but it‘s alright"
On the recruiting trail, Freeman is gearing up to make an official visit to South Carolina.
"I'm going to visit South Carolina this weekend. I know they're going to treat me good and everything. I want to check out how the environment is and what to do around campus. Basically stuff like that."
Freeman had previously named a list of three favorites, and he says that the same three schools are still in the mix with him.
"It's about the same with my top three still being South Carolina, Tennessee, and Iowa State."
While three schools are still vying for his services, Freeman said that one school stands out above the rest.
"I'd say South Carolina stands out, because I've got a good relationship with Coach Gillespie, the dude that's recruiting me. I talk to him about every day or so. I'll text him, and he'll text me. I talk to the receivers coach and the head coach and everything. I think they want me a lot… I like that they pass the ball, they've got good receivers, and they put players in the NFL. Being a receiver, I like that."
Freeman, who projects as a December graduate, has a good idea of when he'd like to make a decision.
"I'd say probably at the beginning of next month. I might verbally commit to them when I go and take a visit if I really like the school a lot, but I just really want to take all of my visits."
Lastly, the versatile playmaker shared what factors will play into his final decision.
"I want to go somewhere that I can further my education and where I can get to the next level. Also where they‘re going to treat my like family."
