Richardson Enjoyed USC Visit

Spring Valley (Columbia, SC) 4-star offensive tackle Quintin Richardson has been committed to South Carolina since back in April, but he made his official visit to USC this weekend. Read inside to find out how that visit went.

Richardson, who measures in at a solid 6'4 and 270 pounds, said that his visit to USC was simple, but he enjoyed it.

"Everything went real good," said Richardson. "We went on a campus tour, and they showed us around town. It was really simple, but there was a lot of stuff for the new recruits to see."

Richardson has served as one of the chief recruiters for the Gamecocks in this recruiting class by talking with several of his fellow prospects, and according to him, this weekend was no different.

"Yeah, I talked with Melvin Ingram, Eric Baker, and Dontee (Nicholls), the D-tackle from Florida. Of course Mark Barnes, and all them boys. We all had a good time."

Richardson, who played along the defensive line up until a couple years ago, said that he talked with several of the USC coaches, and they are still trying to determine which side of the ball he will play on at the college level.

"I talked with Coach Hunt, Coach Nix, and Coach Spurrier. We just talked to catch up on things, nothing serious. I still don't know if I'm going to play offense or defense, but it doesn't matter to me."

Lastly, when asked to rate his visit on a scale from one to ten, Richardson left little doubt that USC is the place for him.

"It was definitely a ‘10'."
