Nunn To Anchor Sandlapper O-Line
Nunn, who measures in at a lean 6'6 and 280 pounds, said he has enjoyed getting back out on the football field and putting on the pads this week in practice.
"Everything's going good out here," said Nunn. "I'm having a lot of fun hitting somebody else."
The overall level of speed on the field has impressed Nunn this week, but he believes it is a good test for what he'll face on the college level.
"It's definitely faster. It's a lot faster out here. Everybody's competing at a high level, and everybody is a lot faster than regular high school. This is definitely a higher level of practice out here, and it‘s a good preview of the next level."
Nunn has had the unenviable task of going up against Cliff Matthews and the athletic Sandlapper defensive front this week in practice, but he said he is enjoying the challenge.
"It's a lot of fun. It's fun going up against those guys. They're definitely competition that you don't have during the season."
Lastly, Nunn shared his goals for Saturday's showdown against North Carolina in the 70th annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.
"My goal is to just have fun, get after it, and compete. My main thing is competing, and hopefully things will come out on our side."
