Announcement Day For Lecorn and Allen
The duo will announce their decision at 3:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria, before their season ending football banquet.
The 6'0, 205 pound Lecorn, who claims offers from South Carolina, Ole Miss, LSU, Central Florida, and South Florida, has considered a couple of key factors leading up to his college decision.
"Probably how early I'll get playing time, where it's located at, and that's about it," said Lecorn.
Both Lecorn and Allen have favored South Carolina ever since their official visit to Columbia in late September, and Lecorn shared what it is about USC that stands out to him.
"When I went up there to visit, I felt at home there. I felt right at home like I fit in good with everybody. I got to meet the players, and I like Coach Spurrier's offense that he's running. It's real good, and since I'm playing receiver, you can't really get better than Spurrier's offense."
According to Lecorn, who is considered one of the top wide receiver prospects in the talent-rich state of Florida this year, the opportunity for early playing time at South Carolina is another enticing factor.
"They're saying it looks pretty good, especially now that Sidney Rice has left. They said that I'm one of the receivers they want to get on the field next year early."
Stay tuned to GamecockAnthem.com for coverage of Lecorn and Allen's announcement later this afternoon.
