Culliver Closing In On Decision
Culliver, who measures in at an athletic 6'1 and 190 pounds, is looking forward to seeing what all the Gamecocks have to offer this weekend.
"I'm pretty much looking forward to the same things I did about Florida, something to impress me and something to make me want to go to that school," said Culliver. "Hopefully, that's going to happen. We'll just see how things go when I get down there."
The electrifying Tar Heel State prospect made an unofficial visit to USC in November for South Carolina's game against Middle Tennessee State, but this will be his first opportunity to truly check out the campus.
"I haven't seen around the campus, but I have been on the campus. I went to the middle Tennessee game actually. I just want to see what it's like around there."
Culliver hosted USC Coach Steve Spurrier for an in-home visit on Monday night, and he enjoyed talking football with the Head Ball Coach.
"It went well. I sat down and talked with him just to see how things were going. Everything was fine, and we had a good conversation. He told me a lot of things I liked to hear, and he showed me some things as far as where they stand in the whole SEC and things like that."
With his choices narrowed down to SEC rivals South Carolina and Florida, Culliver will look for one primary factor in differentiating between his two finalists.
"My main concern is going to be the environment. I want to see how I can adapt to that environment, and how close that environment is to what it is at home. That's probably the main thing."
Lastly, Culliver confirmed that he will look to make his final decision shortly after his visit to Columbia this weekend.
"It's probably going to be after I take my visit to South Carolina. I'll make it after that."
