The athletic Ingram has been committed to South Carolina since early December, but he has recently expressed an interest in visiting the home state Tar Heels. Is Ingram still firm in his commitment to the Gamecocks? Read inside for full story.

The 6'2, 225 pound Ingram has scheduled visits to Chapel Hill over the past two weekends, but according to Ingram, he has not made either trip, and he does not have plans to reschedule again.

"No, I didn't end up going to North Carolina," said Ingram. "I'm not really planning on (rescheduling.)"

When asked how firm he is in his commitment to the Gamecocks, Ingram replied that his pledge to USC is still strong.

"Things are very strong with South Carolina right now. I'd say 99%."

An important factor in USC maintaining the lead for Ingram's services is the job that his recruiter, Coach Fred Chatham, has done keeping in touch with him leading up to Signing Day.

"I talk with the (South Carolina) coaches every week. Coach Fred Chatham is my recruiter, and we have a very strong relationship. He‘s a great person."

Lastly, Ingram, who many have compared to USC's current standout middle linebacker Jasper Brinkley, shared one primary goal that he hopes to accomplish in his freshman season with the Gamecocks.

"My goal is to start as a true freshman."
