Gamecocks Pursuing Alabama LB

Jacoby Thomas, a three-star linebacker from Mobile-Murphy, (Ala.), is having a low-key summer with plans to attend his first camp this month. He has received four scholarship offers and updates the latest with

"Everything has been going really good," Jacoby Thomas said from Mobile, (Ala.). "I have not been to any campuses. I am going to Alabama's camp July 22-23."

"My latest offers are from South Carolina and Colorado. I have offers from Alabama and Purdue as well. The offer from South Carolina came in about a month ago. Colorado came about the same time as well. I don't have any favorites. Everything is pretty much open."

"I was pretty excited about the offer from South Carolina. I have a friend up there, Captain Munnerlyn. I am pretty excited about them. I am going to try to get up there for a visit. I don't know when yet."

"I really don't too much about Colorado. Their campus is beautiful. I have seen pictures, and I really like it. I have seen some better facilities though."

"I still feel pretty much the same about Alabama. I was leaning more towards them, but I am starting to open things up. I just like the excitement. The facilities are great. I feel like when I am there I am supposed to be there."

"I feel about the same about Purdue. I really don't know what a Boilermaker is, but they seem exciting. I am supposed to be going up there for a visit. My parents and I are going to fly up there sometime."

Thomas is not in any rush to make a decision, but he knows what he will consider when deciding his future home.

"I am going to make my decision at the end of the season. I am going to be looking at the education. I need something to fall back on. I am looking for top-notch school. I want to go somewhere you won't get in lot of trouble and the history of the program. I want to go somewhere I feel at home," Thomas concluded.
