T.J. Lawrence talks the latest
The 6'1", 195 pound Lawrence, who runs a 4.5 second forty yard dash, said recruiting has been going well, and he's looking forward to checking out three high profile games in the month of November.
"It's been going good," said Lawrence. "I've set up some visits. I'm going to the Florida - Florida State game (on November 24th). I'm going to the Virginia Tech - Miami game (On November 17th). And I'm going to the South Carolina - Florida game (On November 10th)."
It's no coincidence that Lawrence has lined up trips to South Carolina, Florida and Virginia Tech, as those three schools have begun to separate themselves from the rest of the pack in the race for his services.
"South Carolina, Florida and Virginia Tech are my favorites. It's really those three."
The Sunshine State standout shared what stands out to him about each of his three favorite schools:
South Carolina - "South Carolina likes to pass the ball. I like teams that like to pass the ball. Their season is going well. It's going real good. They have a really good team."
Florida - "They like to pass the ball. They've lost two in a row though, so I don't really know what to say."
Virginia Tech - "They have a good team too. They switched quarterbacks, and they're doing pretty good too."
When asked if one of his three favorites stood out above the rest, Lawrence replied, "Not really."
While Lawrence is not ready to name an individual favorite, he did acknowledge that one school is currently recruiting him the hardest.
"South Carolina's recruiting me the hardest. I talk with Coach David Reaves once a week, and he's real cool."
According to Lawrence, who has helped lead his team to a 6-1 record so far this season, he doesn't have a timeframe for a decision, but he does know one key factor that he's looking for in a school.
"It's got to feel like home."
