Streeter Will Not Be In Tampa This Weekend
This was supposed to be one of the biggest recruiting weekends of the year. It's the first weekend out of the dead period, big names coming in, including the USFNation Hot 20 #1 player Tommy Streeter, but those plans are now in jeopardy.
USFNation spoke with Tommy's Mom today and she said he will not be coming to Tampa this weekend.
"Tommy broke his arm in practice this week." Streeter was getting ready to play in an all star game in South Florida when the injury occurred.
"He had to have minor surgery and is on pain medication."
His Mom said that he needs another week to recover before he can take a visit.
"His arm isn't in a cast yet, so he's in pain and taking pills. We don't think it would be a great experience if he were to travel."
Tommy has talked with coach Larry Scott about rescheduling.
"They talked today and I'm pretty sure they set a new date for the weekend of the 25th."
That weekend might actually work out better because it's the same weekend as USF's annual banquet. Tommy is expected to fully recover from his injury and will probably visit South Carolina next weekend.
If any thing changes we will be sure to let you know.
