Decision day for Gilmore
Gilmore, the nation's no. 27 ranked cornerback prospect according to Scout.com, has narrowed his list of over twenty scholarship offers down to two finalists - South Carolina and Alabama.
The 6'2", 181 pound defender originally planned on waiting until after his senior season to announce his decision, but because he's on track to graduate early and enroll at the school of his choice in January, he moved up his commitment time frame.
The home-state Gamecocks have battled the Crimson Tide for positioning atop Gilmore's list for several months. Gilmore took official visits to both schools in recent weeks, and he will make his college decision known this afternoon at a 1:15 news conference in the South Pointe school auditorium.
Stay tuned to GamecockAnthem.com for complete coverage of Gilmore's announcement this afternoon.
