Wilting in the final minutes on the road is becoming an early trademark of this year's Dave Odom team, as the Gamecocks were able to muster only 13 points in the final 10 minutes and 18 seconds of their game in Raleigh ...
NC State's Julius Hodge knocked down a career best 26 points while Marcus Melvin added 18 as the Wolfpack downed Dave Odom's Gamecocks 76-64 Sunday night in Raleigh.
USC led almost the entire first half before Melvin and Hodge sparked a 17-3 spurt helped NC State pull aways from the Cocks.
Hodge dropped in nine points in 67 seconds and Melvin added two threes during the run that helped put the Pack up 62-54 with 6:39 remaining in the game.
Carlos Powell again led South Carolina with 19 points.
