Gamecocks or Vols?

Gaither (Tampa, FL) 4-star running back Jarvis Giles, one of the most heralded running back prospects in America this recruiting year, has narrowed his college choices down to South Carolina and Tennessee, and he will announce his decision today at a 12 p.m. news conference at his school. Stay tuned to GamecockAnthem.com and Scout.com for complete coverage of Giles' announcement.

The 6'0", 180 pound Giles, who runs a 4.38 second forty yard dash, originally committed to Tennessee back in the summer, but following the resignation of Phil Fulmer earlier this fall, the elite prospect decided to decommit from UT and look around at his other options. One such school was South Carolina, and Giles thoroughly enjoyed his official visit to Columbia last month, even publicly naming the Gamecocks as his favorite following that trip.

However, Giles held off on committing to South Carolina at the time, and the Volunteers have since made an attempt to creep back into the picture with the top running back with the hiring of new head coach Lane Kiffin and the addition of former USC assistant David Reaves on staff.

Will that be enough for Tennessee to regain Giles' commitment today, or will the dynamic Sunshine State running back announce his intentions to play at South Carolina next fall?

Stay tuned to GamecockAnthem.com this afternoon to find out.
