Syvelle Newton Exit Interview

Quarterback Syvelle Newton just returned home from his visit to Columbia, South Carolina and USC. The QB from Malboro County High School knows it is almost decision time ...

"I really had a good visit to South Carolina," said Syvelle Newton. "Lots of things standout about those guys - the coaches, campus and city especially. I am from a small town but I like the bigger city. I love the campus and there is a lot to do there. I think South Carolina is a place where I can play early. We (Demetris Summers, Noah Whiteside, Eric Young, etc.) are all talking about going to the same school. That would be great. Right now, I do not have a leader and I will announce on Signing Day."

Summers, for the moment, has only one more scheduled trip. He will visit Vanderbilt (1-31).
