USF linebacker Sam Barrington, played in all 13 games as a true freshman in 2009, recording 41 tackles and establishing himself as one of the Bulls' most-promising up-and-coming players. This weekend the 6'1, 225 pound linebacker Barrington is poised to make his first college start in a huge game against top ranked in-state foe Florida. Sam talks about how he feels about the big upcoming game against Florida, the linebacker unit, how the team has bonded, and much more.

Last season Barrington and the Bulls faced a similar challenge when they travelled to Florida State, and in that game Bulls fans got to see what the freshman could do. Against FSU with starting linebackers Kion Wilson & Chris Robinson out of the game, Sam came up huge on the goal line stand making the big stop on a 4th & 2, finishing the game with 4 tackles.
