The USF Basketball team landed its second commitment of 2011, and he's a big one, literally. His name is Tolu Jordan Omogbehin, a 7-foot-3, 291 pound center from Atlantic Shores Christian, in Chesapeake, VA, and he committed to Coach Stan heath just over an hour ago on Monday night.

"Jordan committed to USF and gave them his verbal today," said Atlantic Shores Christian Head Coach Walt Webb. "He's very excited and will be signing with them on Nov. 9th."

The 7-foot-3, 291 pound center had several offers including one from Georgetown, and had lots of other interests including UCONN, Oklahoma, Marquette, and others before choosing USF.

"Coach Heath did a great job with him, and so did the entire coaching staff and he felt very comfortable with them," said coach Webb. "He feels that Coach heath is a great coach, the program is on the rise, they're building a great new basketball facility, they play in a great conference, and he knows he has a great opportunity with them, and thinks he'll have a bright future at USF."

The Nigerian native played last year at National Christian Academy after starting out with Montrose Christian. His coach told me he averaged 15 points, 11 rebounds and 8 blocked shots last season

Omogbehin took an official visit to Tampa to check out the Bull this past weekend, and came away impressed to commit to the bulls the next day.

"He took his visit this past weekend and loved everything about it," said coach Webb. "He had a great time with the coaches, hanging with all the players, and meeting all of his professors, and felt extremely comfortable with them."
