LB Commit Excited to see Bulls Play Live

Independence linebacker Mike Juene, verbally committed to the Bulls back in October, and this weekend the 6'foot-2, 230 pound linebacker will take his official visit to USF.

USF commit Mike Juene just finished his sophomore season with Independence CC, recording 98 tackles, 3 tackles for-a-loss, 1 sack, 3 forced fumbles and 3 fumbles recovered, earning first team All-Conference, and first team all region at linebacker, while also serving as the teams punter.

"We finished 4-5, but we made it to the play-offs, we lost but it was a close game," said Juene "I had a pretty good season and earned first team All-American and first team All-Region."

Juene verbally committed to the Bulls back in October, and this weekend the 6'foot-2, 230 pound linebacker will take his official visit to USF.

"Yes sir, I'll be visiting USF this weekend," said Juene. "I'll be there on Friday and I'm really looking forward to it."

The Bulls commit already visited USF this summer, but hasn't had the chance to return while his team was playing during the season.

"I watch them on TV a lot, but this will be my first time seeing them play live," said Juene. "It should be a real good time."

Jeune played his prep days at Terry Parker High school and was teammates and best friends with USF linebacker Sam Barrington, and is looking forward to seeing him again.

"We talk all the time, but I haven't seen Sam since this summer before I went back to Independence," said Juene. "He's going to be my host for the weekend, and I can't wait to spend time with him."

Besides getting to see his former teammate and spend time with the Bulls, Juene is looking forward to spending time in the balmy Florida weather.

"It's been real cold here, in the 40-50's," said Juene. "I can't wait to get back in that Florida sunshine. It'll be a nice change for the weekend."

"I'll be going to the game and then afterwards chilling with Sam and the team.

"I'm looking forward to seeing Sam play live, actually seeing the whole Bulls team play live in person," said Juene. "I can't wait to be in Raymond James Stadium during the game and seeing how the crowd is. I'm also looking forward to meeting with the coaches again, seeing the players and just getting to hang out with everybody all weekend."

Juene will be finished his AA in December, and join the team in January with two years of eligibility left.

"The last days of finals are December 9th, but I'm going to stay here and finish two more classes," said Juene. "Then I'll leave here on Dec 22nd and head to Tampa. I'm real excited to take it to the next level with USF!"
