The Series

USF is 19-5 against UCF with 10 wins in the last 11 matchups. The Bulls defeated the Knights 69-65 in Tampa last season. Jarrid Famous posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds and Toarlyn Fitzpatrick had nine boards in the game. USF has a 19-5 edge in the series with the Knights, which dates back to 1972

•In the last meeting in Orlando, Jermaine Taylor recorded 30 points as UCF beat USF 71-63 on Dec. 6, 2008 in front of 6,695 fans, which at the time was the second-largest crowd in UCF Arena history.
• Jones, who averaged 29.3 points in three career games versus UCF, led the Bulls with 31 points.

The Coaches

USF: Head coach Stan Heath is entering his 24th season of coaching, 10th as a head coach and fourth at USF. He has posted a 154-132 overall record and is 42-55 at USF. Heath has made three NCAA appearances (2002-Kent State, 2006 and 2007- Arkansas) and one NIT appearance in his nine-year career.

UCF: Donnie Jones is in his first season as the head coach of the UCF Knights after three years at Marshall. Jones, who is 57-41 overall and 2-0 at UCF, took the Herd to the second round of the Tournament last season.

USF Player To Watch
Sophomore transfer Jawanza, who's in his first season with the Bulls, earned a starting position and is leading the team in scoring with 13.5 ppg. The former Jayhawk Conference Freshman of the Year scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds off the bench against Southern Miss then started and scored 15 against St. Francis.
