With signing day just months away, it's getting close to crunch time for Orange park 3-star linebacker Terrance Plummer, but with Orange Park still in the play-offs, his focus is on the present.

"Are goals this year were to get past the first round and hopefully make it to the state championship," said Plummer

Last season, the Raiders went undefeated during the regular season then lost 46-0 at home in the first round of the playoffs to a Deland. This year the team started out 1-3, but turned it around, and made it thought the first two rounds, beating Mainland and Deland, and now faces Sanford (FL) Seminole in the regional finals this Friday.

Things have picked up a bit on the recruiting front for the 6'1, 220 pound linebacker as he's received offers from Connecticut, South Florida, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Vanderbilt, Middle Tennessee, North Carolina State, South Florida, Southern Miss, Troy, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, and UCF. With an impressive list of offers Plummer has a short list of schools that stand out to him.

"South Florida, UCONN, Vandy, Cincinnati, Middle Tennessee, Troy, and NC State," said Plummer.

The stand-out linebacker said he won't wait until signing day, so do any of these schools stand out over the others?

"Not just yet, but I'd have to say that USF, UCONN and Vandy are probably my top 3," said Plummer. "With the other schools close behind."

On Saturday Plummer got to watch one of his top schools, USF beat Miami 23-20 in a thrilling overtime game.

"Yes sir I watched the game and thought it was a great win," said Plummer. "Even though Miami isn't at its best, it's still a marquee team in the NCAA, and for South Florida to win, makes the game a rivalry and helps with the success of building the S. Florida brand."

How does a win like that affect how Plummer feels about the USF program?

"I've always liked South Florida," said Plummer. "The win just boosts my confidence in them building a good program that's going compete against the best teams."

With his team still in the play-offs, the 3-star prospect rated No. 82 in the country hasn't taken any official visits yet, but has three on tap.

"Yes sir, I have one set for USF, UCONN, and to Vanderbilt, all three will be in January," said Plummer. "The rest are still up in the air."

This season Plummer has accumulated 124 tackles, 35 tackles for-a-loss, 8 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 3 fumbles recovered, and 5 pass deflections. He also has 9 rushing touchdowns.
