Corian Hamilton is a 6-foot-1, 217 pound stand-out defender from Olympia High School in Orlando, Fl, whose season concluded with an opening round playoff loss to Dr. Phillips.

The 3-star safety ranked as the No. 68 safety in the country by Scout.com finished the season with over 100 tackles and five interceptions. Schools have taken notice as he claims over two dozen offers from schools such as Michigan, Ole Miss, West Virginia, South Florida, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Connecticut, Cincinnati, Rutgers, Syracuse, Louisville, Michigan State, Western Kentucky and several others.

The coveted prospect said that the main schools he's looking at are USF, West Virginia, and Purdue, with UCONN also in the picture.

"I like USF, it's close to home and I like how they play defense," said Hamilton. "I talk with defensive coordinator Mark Snyder, and my recruiting coordinator Todd Fitch, they say they like me, and that I could see early playing time."

The defensive prospect got to watch the Bulls big 23-20 overtime win over Miami last weekend, and liked what he saw.

"I was very impressed," said Hamilton. "Their defense played very good."

How does a win like that affect how he feels about the USF football program?

"They were high on my list already," said Corian. "But a win like that really helps the program."

Hamilton has already taken official visits to Purdue, and to West Virginia , and next on tap for Corian is a visit to Tampa on Dec. 4 to watch the Bulls take on UCONN this weekend.

"I'm heading to Tampa this weekend for an unofficial visit," said Hamilton. "I'll be there on Saturday and I'm looking forward to see how they play in person."

Corian still has several official visits left to take, and of now none are set, but the Bulls may get an official down the road.

"This weekend's visit to USF will be an unofficial, but we've talked about a later official," said Corian. "I may also take one to UCONN, but nothing is set up yet for sure."

Hamilton says he carries a 3.0 core GPA and a 19 ACT with a 980 SAT, and is already qualified.
