Armwood's QB Josh Grady, had a great senior season leading the Hawks to the state championship with over 3,000 yards of offense and 26 TDs, but is also being looked at on the defensive side of the ball. The 6-foot-1, 192 pound prospect received 26 offers from schools across the country, and over the last two weeks has taken official to some of his top choices USF, and Wake Forest.
Two weeks ago Grady visited USF during they're big recruiting weekend and came away very impressed.
"I had a great weekend, everything was great during my visit," said Grady. "I like USF a lot."
Grady saw the campus the facilities and got talk with the academic advisors, saying "That went real well, they have a great medical program."
The Armwood standout said his favorite part of the weekend was "Just being around all the boys," Grady said. "We talked a lot, about the family atmosphere, the coaches, everything."
Being a local product, Grady has already seen a lot of USF, but got to see all the 30 million dollars in upgrades of the USF athletic village that the Bulls are in the midst of, saying "They're definitely progressing, Coach Holtz has them on the rise." Grady also mentioned how the visit affected how he viewed the Bulls program. "I like them, it definitely helped both sides. Coach Holtz is a great guy, and they're going to do great things!"
This past weekend Grady visited Wake Forest for his official visit.
"The visit was good, loved it," said Grady. "It was sick. I loved the campus, it was beautiful." Grady also added "And I got along very well with the players."
After his latest visit to see what the Deacons had to offer, Grady said, "Wake is definitely up there"
Grady has now taking three official visits to all three of his top choices, and said what his top school list looks like now, saying, "I think USF, Wake, and Iowa State are tied."
The Armwood star led the Hawks as a quarterback, but not all schools are recruiting him to line up under center.
"Everyone is offering me at QB, except Wake and USF," said Grady, who said he's not concerned about where he'll play. ‘I just want to be at the spot that will get me on the field the fastest."
With signing day just weeks away, Grady said he will be taking another official visit this weekend.
"Yeah, Vanderbilt, I'm really excited to take it for sure," said Grady. "The Vanderbilt head coach is coming by later today."
With a monumental decision looming, Grady said when he'll be announcing where he'll be playing his college ball.
"I'll announce on signing day," said Grady.
