USF forward Augustus Gilchrist was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for his performance during the week ending on Feb. 27.
The USF junior recoded 32 points and snagged eight rebounds to lead USF an 86-76 win at DePaul, their first road victory of the season. This was Gilchrist's sixth 20-plus point performance of the season and 12th of his career
The Bulls forward went 9-of-14 from the floor with one 3-pointer and went 13-of-15 from the free throw line. He also registered two assists and a steal during the game.
Gilchrist leads the Bulls with his 13.0 points per game and is second on the squad with 6.3 rebounds per night. He is hitting 44.4 percent of his shots (122-275) and has 19 blocked shots in 20 games
His 32 points against DePaul was the first by a USF player not named Dominique Jones to score 30 points in a game in the last five years. The last was senior James Holmes, who scored 35 points on Jan. 20, 2006.
