Gainesville's Chris Bivins, one of the state's top 2012 cornerback prospects has seen his recruitment start to take off. The 5-foot-11, 170 pound prospect has been hitting the camp circuit, and schools have taking notice as he received his third offer today
"I got my third offer from the University of Florida International."
"It feels good to get that third offer," said Bivins. I just got off the phone with the coach who offered me. He's a hell of a coach."
Things are picking up on the recruiting front for the 5-foot-11, 170 pound prospect as Bivins now has offers from USF, Utah, and FIU and other schools are showing interest including Florida, Tennessee, Arkansas, Rutgers, Florida State, Miami, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, and UCF. With several that could be close to pulling the trigger.
Bivins currently has a short list of schools that are standing out to him at this stage in the process.
"USF, Florida, Arkansas, and Illinois,"said Bivins "Those are the schools I like in that order."
Bivins also plans on taking in several more camps and may catch a few spring games coming up.
"I might be coming down for the spring game at USF this Saturday," said Bivins. "On Sunday I'm going to a Showcase Camp for Mike Bakas and I should run a 4.4 40."
As a junior the 5-foot-11, 170 pound prospect had 46 tackles with 4 interceptions and one returned for a score, he also had 3 passes deflected and 2 forced fumbles.
