Sean Price, a scout.com 300 tight end from North Marion is one of the top playmakers in Florida, is finished school and is getting ready for his summer campaign.
"My summer is going good. I've just been working out, practicing with the team and getting ready for the football season," said Price. "I've improved the most in my leadership abilities, my blocking and being a better player."
The 6-foot-3, 233 pound tight end has gone to many camps and combines recently, but is planning to make a trip down to Tampa to check out one of the top programs he's considering.
"I'm going to South Florida on Thursday with my family," said Price. "I haven't been down there in a bit and I'm really looking forward to the visit big time."
Price has been to USF a few times already, with the most recent being for the Badger 7on7 in March, but hasn't had the opportunity to really see the school since last summer when his team was in for the Bulls Sling & Shoot camp. Price said he's really looking forward to seeing all the upgrades, see all the staff, and learn more about what the Bulls have to offer.
"When I'm down there I want to learn more about the academics and the medical field. I want to look at their depth chart, see how the team gets along, and how well I get along with the coaching staff, things like that."
"I haven't seen all the new facility upgrades they've done since the last time I was there," said Price. "I hear everything looks awesome and I can't wait to see it."
The North Marion stand-out has amassed an impressive list of over 30 offers from some of the top programs in the Southeast, but has narrowed his list to three schools.
Price talks about the three schools that are at the top of his list.
"With USF, I've been talking with Coach McGeoghan since I was in ninth grade and have always had a close relationship with him," said Price. "I like the school's location. It's not too far from home, but it's not too close either. I really like the overall environment and the campus is real nice from what I've seen so far. The depth chart is real good, so I have a great opportunity to play early. Basically I just feel real comfortable with them and Coach McGeoghan feels like a brother or a father to me when we speak."
"Miami is similar to South Florida as I'll have a chance to play. Coach Carroll and I are pretty close. I visited with them in March and they have a good program and nice facilities."
"Tennessee is new for me, but I like the offense they run and they like to throw the ball, and Coach Russell is pretty cool."
Out of his three schools Price said that one school has a slight edge over the others.
"I'd say that South Florida has the edge right now," said Price. "They've been on me the longest and show me a lot of love."
The coveted tight end is one of the top uncommitted prospects in the state, and the Bulls have made it known where he stands with them.
"They tell me that I'm number one on their chart," said Price. "That's an awesome feeling just to know somebody thinks that highly of you and wants you like that."
Price is a 3-star prospect ranked the 12th top TE in the country, and is a Scout 300 prospect.
