Meet the USF Incoming Football Class of 2011

Summer is here and that means that the USF incoming class of 2011 will begin arriving on campus today for orientation and will begin summer classes next week. USFNation has talked with each of the incoming signees prior to their arrival and have already started to roll out the interviews. Here's a look at Skip Holtz incoming class.

Three players arrived early this spring and all ready enrolled, quarterback Matt Floyd, linebacker Mike Jeune, and linebacker Antoine Pozniak, with lineman Marquis White beginning Summer A classes last month. Receiver Mut, who's recovering from knee surgery will greyshirt, but will arrive on campus in August. The rest will be arriving beginning today.

Spring Early Enrollees

Matt Floyd, Quarterback (6'1, 191) Milton HS , Milton FL

A three-year starter and two-time all-area selection with 4,988 yards passing, 37 passing TDs and 10 rushing TDs during his career. Earned Super Senior honors in 2010. Was tabbed first-team all-area heading into his senior year, was also named to the IMG Academy All-Madden team in the summer of 2010. Completed 150-of-272 passes (55.1%) for 2,277 yards and 17 TDs, his 2,277 yards passing led the area. Claimed second-team all-area honors as a junior, threw for 1,711 yards and 14 TDs on 112-of-205 passing (54.6%), added 1,000 passing yards, five TDs and five rushing TDs as a sophomore. Mike Jeune, Linebacker (6'1.5, 225) Independence CC

A junior college All-American and two-time all-region selection while at Independence C.C., posted 149 tackles, 10 sacks, 12.5 TFL, an INT, two PBU, four forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries during his two seasons with the Pirates. Earned honorable mention NJCAA All-America, first-team all-region VI and first-team all-conference honors as a sophomore , led the team in tackles with 98 to go along with a sack, three TFL, a PBU, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries, and was tabbed honorable mention all-conference and defensive MVP as a freshman, tallied 51 tackles, nine sacks, 9.5 TFL, an INT, a PBU, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, also handled the punting duties as a freshman, earning all-region VI honors. Was a first-team all-conference performer as a prep senior at Terry Parker H.S. and was teammates with current Bull Sam Barrington at Terry Parker H.S. in 2008, tallied 103 tackles, 10 sacks and an INT, also posted nine catches for 170 yards and three TDs as a tight end. Antoine Pozniak, Linebacker (6'1, 210) Oak Ridge Military

An all-state, all-league and three-time team captain. Attended Oak Ridge Military Academy in the fall of 2010, posted 40 tackles and two sacks in leading the Cadets to an undefeated season. Played his senior prep season at Bishop Grimes H.S. in East Syracuse, N.Y., earned all-state and all-league honors, was named team MVP and captain, posted 154 tackles, two sacks, two INTs and two forced fumbles, also scored three rushing TDs. Spent his first three prep seasons at Wallkill Valley H.S. in Hamburg, N.J., notched 80 tackles, four sacks and forced fumble as a junior, was a three-time member of the honor roll. Summer Session A enrollee

Marquis White, Defensive Lineman (6'5, 298) North Carolina Tech Prep/Olympia HS, FL

Played his first year of organized football at North Carolina Tech after playing basketball at Olympia H.S., posted 36 tackles, 4.5 sacks, eight TFL and four passes swatted away, was the second-leading tackler along the defensive line, and voted most improved defensive lineman by the coaching staff, and also voted most athletic lineman. 2011 incoming Signees

Zack Bullock, Linebacker (6'4, 208) Sebring HS, Sebring FL

A three-year letterman, who is an all-county performer, posted 95 tackles, eight sacks, 40 pressures, seven forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries over his last two seasons, earned all-county and all-district honors as a senior, was invited to play in the South Central All-Star Classic, as a senior tallied 45 tackles, four sacks, 22 pressures, four forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and five TDs. Posted 50 tackles, four sacks, 10 TFL, 18 pressures, an INT, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries as a junior. Also lettered in basketball, and was mentored by current USF assistant Larry Scott's brother, Coach LaVaar Scott, who is the defensive coordinator at Sebring. Watch Highlights

Edsel Caprice, Linebacker (6'2, 198) Cape Coral, FL

An all-state performer and two-time all-area selection, posted 188 tackles, 34 sacks, 66 TFL, an INT and 11 forced fumbles during his two seasons as a starter. Was tabbed Class 4A All-State Second team, first-team all-area by the Fort Myers News Press as a senior, selected first-team all-district by the coaches, tallied 78 tackles, 14 sacks, 28 TFL, four forced fumbles and an INT that he returned for a TD, posted a sack and a forced fumble in the John Carrigan Rotary South All-Star Classic following his senior season. Earned all-state, all-area and all-conference honors as a junior, posted 110 tackles, 20 sacks, 38 TFL and seven forced fumbles. Also lettered in track and field three times and basketball once. Andre Davis, Wide Receiver (6'1,198) Jefferson HS, Tampa, FL

An honorable mention All-American and three-time all-state selection, posted 164 receptions for 3,158 yards (19.3 ypc) and 40 TDs during his three-year career. As a senior was named Class 3A All-State First team, first-team all-conference and first-team all-county, and led Jefferson to the 3A state championship. Tallied 62 catches for 1,286 yards (20.7 ypc) and 12 TDs, posted five 100-yard receiving games, had a season-high nine catches for 132 yards and a TD against Lakewood, notched seven receptions for 163 yards and two TDs against Plant City. Claimed first-team all-state, first-team all-conference and first-team all-county honors as a junior, notched 72 receptions for 1,296 yards (18.0 ypc) and 19 TDs, tallied four 100-yard receiving games and scored at least two TDs in seven games, posted six catches for 136 yards and four TDs against Osceola. Earned second-team all-state and second-team all-county honors as a sophomore, posted 30 receptions for 576 yards (19.2 ypc) and nine TDs. Willie Davis, Running Back (5,9, 195) Stephenson HS, Stone Mountain, GA

An all-state selection and region MVP, posted almost 2,000 yards and 25 TDs during his last two seasons. Earned all-state, all-county and region MVP honors as a senior, posted over 1,300 yards and 22 TDs, while catching 21 passes for 175 yards and four scores. Rushed for nearly 700 yards and three TDs as a junior, while playing in just six games. A member of the A/B Honor Roll and earned a spot on the Principal's List. Watch Highlights

Kenneth Durden, Defensive Back (6'1, 162) Lowndes HS, Valdosta, GA

An all-state and all-region performer, posted 78 tackles, eight INTs, 17 PBU and two blocked FGs during his three-year career. Earned all-state and all-region honors as a senior, named to the North-South All-Star team, also was voted team captain, tallied 40 tackles, three INTs and 15 PBU, also posted seven receptions for 197 yards and two TDs and one blocked FG. Notched 27 tackles, three INTs, two PBU and a blocked FG as a junior. Added 11 tackles and two INTs as a sophomore. Also competed in basketball and track and field and set the school record in the triple jump as a junior with a mark of 48-6 . Watch Highlights
Chris Garye, Defensive Back (6'0.5, 210) Lincoln HS, Tallahassee, FL

A two-year starter that led Lincoln to the 2010 4A state championships, posted 138 tackles, five sacks, 17 TFL, seven INTs and nine PBU over his final two seasons. Tallied 42 tackles, three sacks, 11 TFL, an INT and six PBU as a senior . Notched 96 tackles, two sacks, six TFL, six INTs and three PBU as a junior. Also competed in basketball and track and field. His father, Chris Sr., was a high jumper at Florida A&M and his mother, Dodie, played basketball at Florida A&M

Ruben Gonzalez, Wide Receiver (6'2, 194) Robinson HS, Tampa, FL

A versatile all-state performer, who played both wide receiver and defensive back. Notched 85 receptions for 1,250 yards (14.7 ypc) and 15 TDs and 76 tackles, an INT and four PBU over his last two seasons. Tabbed Class 2A All-State First team and second-team all-Hillsborough County as a senior, tallied 46 receptions for 651 yards and seven TDs as a senior, added 34 tackles and two PBU as a defensive back. Earned honorable mention all-state and second-team all-Hillsborough County honors at wide receiver as a junior, posted 39 receptions for 599 yards and eight TDs, also notched 42 tackles, an INT, two PBU, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Brynjar Gudmundsson, Offensive Lineman (6'4, 285)

A three-year letterman, who earned Class 5A All-State Third team and all-county honors as a senior, tallied 36 pancakes and didn't allow a sack. Was one of the top prospects in the county and was ranked No. 27 prospect in Palm Beach County by the Sun Sentinel's top football prospects for the Class of 2011Also earned two letters in power lifting. Corian Hamilton, Linebacker (6'1, 220) Olympia HS, Orlando FL

A two-time all-Central Florida and all-county performer, tallied 269 tackles, nine sacks and 24 INTs during his three seasons. Named second-team all-Central Florida and first-team all-Orange County and was a Class 6A All-State Honorable Mention as a senior, also won the "True Titan" Award, posted 105 tackles, seven sacks and six INTs. Tabbed all-Central Florida and first-team all-Orange County as a junior, notched 89 tackles, two sacks and 10 INTs. Earned the team's outstanding player of the year award as a sophomore, tallied 75 tackles and eight INTs. Also earned three letters in basketball. Watch Highlights

Thor Jozwiak, Offensive Lineman (6'3, 290) Lake Region HS, Eagle Lake, FL

A two-time first-team all-district selection and three-year letterman. Tabbed first-team all-district and first-team all-county, and Class 4A All-State Second team as a senior, also was voted team captain, posted 45 pancake blocks. Earned first-team all-district honors as a junior. Also a three-year letter winner in weightlifting, and a member of the A/B honor roll. His father, Brian, was an All-American at West Virginia and was a first-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in 1986. Watch Highlights

Max Lang, Offensive Tackle (6'4, 270) Boone HS, Orlando, FL

A two-time all-state selection and three-year letterman. Earned first-team all-state, all-Central Florida and all-Orange County honors as a senior, voted a team captain, played in the North-South All Star Football Classic, led the way for Boone's top running back to gain over 1,500 yard. Earned first-team all-state, all-Central Florida and all-Orange County honors as a junior. Also lettered for two seasons in track and field. His father, Mark, played football at Tulane, mother, Kathy, played volleyball at Tulane. Watch Highlights

Alex Mut, Wide Receiver (6'2, 185) Charlotte HS, Port Charlotte, FL

A four-year starter, who was an all-state and three-time all-area selection. Posted 154 receptions for 2,610 yards (16.9 ypc) and 27 TDs as a wide receiver during his career, also played defensive back and notched 103 tackles, 19 INTs, 29 PBU and two TDs. Named the area offensive player of the year and earned Class 4A All-State First team (DB)as a senior, tabbed first-team all-area and all-district, voted team captain and MVP, tallied 39 receptions for 686 yards (17.6 ypc) and nine TDs,added 34 tackles, four INTs and 10 PBU. Earned second-team all-state and all-area honors as a junior, posted 58 receptions for 1,014 yards (17.5 ypc) and 15 TDs, added 12 tackles, two INTs, nine PBU and a TD on defense. Earned all-area honors as a defensive back as a sophomore, made 37 receptions for 568 yards (15.4 ypc) and three TDs, tallied 23 tackles, six INTs, seven PBU and a TD. Had 20 receptions for 342 yards and two TDs and 34 tackles, seven INTs and three PBU as a freshman. Also earned three letters in basketball and track and field, a two-time captain for the basketball team, a member of the 4A state track and field championship team, finished seventh in the state long jump as a junior, won region and district championships in the long jump, helped the 4x400-meter relay to a third-place finish at the state meet and region and district championships. A member of the honor roll and three-time scholastic award recipient, tabbed the principal's Student of the Year as a sophomore. His father, Tom, played wide receiver at Rhode Island. Clavion Nelson, Defensive End (6'4, 225) South Broward HS, Hollywood FL

An all-county selection and was a two-year letterman. Came on as a senior, earned Class 5A All-State Third team, second-team All-Broward County, was voted team captain, posted 64 tackles, 14.5 sacks, also had 2 forced fumbles and 6 fumbles recovered a safety for a defensive TD and had three blocked punts. Boo Simon, Offensive Lineman (6'5, 284) Baldwin County HS, Bay Minette, AL

A three-year starter and four-year player on the offensive line, a two-time all-region and all-county selection. Nmed to the Reebok All-Alabama team as a senior, also tabbed all-region and all-county, was invited to play in both the Max Emfinger All-American Game and maxsport all-star game. Earned all-region and all-county honors as a junior. Played defensive tackle as a freshman before switching to offensive line as a sophomore. Was one of just two freshmen to earn a spot on the varsity squad. Also lettered two times in tennis and once in basketball. Is a four-year member of the honor roll, will graduate with distinction, a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta, a math honor society, was named the outstanding English student three times, a Bryant-Jordan Scholar. Ty Turner, Tight End/Fullback (6'2, 245) Griffin HS, Hampton, GA

A three-year letterman and a Wendy's High School Heisman nominee. Was an all-state and two-time all-region selection, tallied 28 receptions for 569 yards (20.3 ypc) and seven TDs over three years in Griffin's run-heavy offense. Led Griffin to a 10-2 record as a senior and a berth in the second round of the state playoffs, earned all-region honors, voted team captain, was a preseason all-state selection, posted 15 catches for 290 yards (19.3 ypc) and four TD, named the Montlick & associates athlete of the week. Earned all-region honors as a junior, helped Griffin to a 13-1 record and the state semifinals, notched nine receptions for 185 yards (20.6 ypc) and two TDs. Elkino Watson, Defensive Tackle (6'2, 291) Booker T. Washington HS, Miami, FL

A Consensus four-star prospect was a three year letterman and earned Class 3A All-State 2nd team as a senior. Was one of the more coveted defensive linemen in the southeast. Watson is rated one of the top 70 prospects in Florida by SunStateFootball.com, played in the Nike South Florida All-Star Game, recorded 14 sacks, two interceptions and five forced fumbles through 9 games as a senior. Helped his team to a 10-2 record and a berth in the region semifinals as a junior, posted 65 tackles, nine sacks and an INT. Watch Highlights

Darrell Williams, Offensive Lineman (6'4, 245) Evans HS, Orlando, FL

A four-year letterman at Evans. Earned Class 5A All-State Second team, first-team all-Central Florida and all-Orange County as a senior, and was also tabbed honorable mention all-metro. Invited to play in the Central Florida All-star game. Was ranked No. 17 in the Orlando Sentinel's 2011 Central Florida Super60. Watch highlights
