Elite TE Sean Price Chooses USF

Skip Holtz and the Bulls landed one of their top targets for 2012 when tight end Sean Price ended his recruitment and decide to be a Bull. Price, a 6-foot-3, 233-pound 3-star prospect rated the No.12 TE in the country by Scout.com had over 30 offers from some of the top programs in the southeast before choosing USF over Miami, Tennessee and many others.

North Marion tight end Sean Price, one of the top prospects on the Bulls board came in with his family to visit USF Yesterday. The 6-foot-3, 233-pound prospect got in early and had a lengthy stay seeing everything and meeting with the staff, and by all accounts had a great visit. Shortly after talking things over with his family, the Scout.com 300 tight end ended his recruitment and committed to the Bulls.

‘My visit with USF yesterday went great, it was real good," said Price. "I committed to them today! I'm very excited, to get out of high school, get to USF and be a Bull!"

The 6-foot-3, 233-pound athlete had an offer list that is as impressive as anyone with more than 30 scholarship offers from some of the top programs in the country including Florida, Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame, Michigan, South Carolina, Miami, and Tennessee but narrowed his choices down to USF, Tennessee, and Miami before ultimately choosing the Bulls.

"There is so much to like about USF," said Price. When I visited with them and got to hang with Coach McGeoghan, Coach Scott, Coach Holtz, the whole staff, and some of the players, I felt like it was one big family and I wanted to be part of it."

"The campus was real nice, the facilities are awesome and it's a place where I feel like I can grow into a man at. The whole atmosphere there is electric," said Price. "They're a young team and are just going to get better and better, and I know I can go in there and play my freshman year."

Price is a 3-star prospect ranked the 12th top TE in the country, and is a Scout 300 prospect.
