USF just landed their first offensive line commit

McEachern 3-star offensive lineman Kofi Amichia from, Powder Spring, GA has just committed to the South Florida Bulls.

"I just committed to USF," said Amichia, "I just did less than an hour ago. I feel great about my choice and I'm ready to be a Bull!"

The 6-foot-4, 268 pound lineman had offers from USF, Indiana, Cincinnati, Southern Miss, UAB, FIU, Arkansas State, Western Kentucky, Georgia State and South Alabama, before ultimately choosing the Bulls.

"I chose USF for a numerous amounts of reasons, but the most important one was because everybody treated me like family while I was there. They treated me like a son."

Amichia had just come back from a recent visit to USF and had a great time, loved the Bulls campus, facilities, and the relationship with the coaching staff.

"After I took my visit I was thinking about committing," said Kofi. "I loved my visit, it was a great place, my family loved it and I've been thinking about but decided to wait until today, which is my birthday to do it."

The Bulls were high on his list before his trip, but the visit to Tampa sealed the deal for Kofi.

"I love everything about USF, as a football program and as an academic institution," said Amichia. "As a program they're really doing good things and are on the rise. They haven't played football as long as others but have beaten a lot of big time teams and are going nowhere but up."

Kofi is the Bulls offensive line commit for the class of 2012.

"I like that they're very big on education, they take care of their athletes, and make sure they do the right things," said Kofi. "I absolutely love the city of Tampa and all that it has to offer, it's a beautiful place to live."

In the classroom Amichia carries a 3.0 GPA and scored a 1350 on his SAT and is already fully qualified.
