With the Bulls practicing in Vero Beach the team got a treat on Thursday when legendary Coach Lou Holtz, an ESPN analyst and father of USF coach Skip Holtz, was at Bulls practice. Holtz was decked out in Bulls garb, 74, wearing a USF polo and hat while watching practice and also spoke to the team. Afterwards he talked to the media and gave some good insight about the team, Skip, and more.
After watching practice Lou Holtz said he sees improvement in the USF squad heading into their second season under Skip.
"They're a good football team from what I've seen," said Dr. Lou. "More experienced, more confident, better fundamentally. They're very quick and they work hard and they're a very impressive football team."
After Practice the legendary coach gave a short talk with the team after practice.
'If you want the right to fail, you have the right to fail. That's what's great about this country. Life is about a choice," said Holtz. "But no matter how you feel you cannot let your teammates down. If you want to fail; you have that right to fail, but you do not have the right to cause other people to fail because you don't honor your commitment."
Dr Lou also gave some insight into Skip during his younger years at Notre Dame, How he is as a coach, and more. You can watch the video below.
