Video Bucket: Bulls Making an Early Impact

After two games played the Bulls are 2-0 and ranked in both Polls. Besides the players that everybody already knows about, there are several Bulls making an impact for the first time. Players like DE Claude Davis, WR Terrence Mitchell, DT Elkino Watson, WR Victor Marc, SS Mark Joyce, and WR Lindsey Lamar have all contributed this season and spoke with about their performance.

After a big win at Notre Dame and a home rout of Ball State, the Bulls are 2-0 and ranked in both Polls, climbing to 20th in the AP poll and moved into the USA Today Coaches poll at No. 22. Besides the players that everybody already knows about, there are several Bulls making an impact for the first time. caught up with the Bulls making an impact about their performance.

DE Claude Davis The USF senior recorded two sacks, three tackles forced a fumble and recovered a fumble in the win. Fans have heard a lot about Davis since he was at Lake Gibson and in the JUCO ranks, but now Davis is finally delivering as a Bull, showing great speed off the edge and a knack for getting to the quarterback. In limited snaps Davis now has 3 sacks in two games.

WR Terrence Mitchell - The USF true sophomore earned his first start at receiver and led the team in catches with seven for 60 yards. Mitchell, who's a special team's ace, also put a big hit on a Ball State player during a return. Mitchell showed that he has speed, can be electric when he touches the football, and is a threat on offense

SS Mark Joyce - The true sophomore helped set an early tone in the Bulls USF's 37-7 win against Ball State as he recovered a fumble for a 17-yard touchdown on the game's opening kickoff just eight seconds in, and in doing so tied the USF record as the fastest scoring play in school history and was named BIG EAST Special Teams Player of the Week. Joyce also had two tackles as part of a defense that limited Ball State to 225 yards of offense. Joyce also had an interception for a TD as a true frosh in his first game as a Bull last season.

WR Victor Marc – The Bulls receiver had a team-high 81 yards and caught his first touchdowns on a 20-yard strike from Daniels. Marc had a very good training camp, earning plenty of praise from the staff and on Saturday showed fans why.

DT Elkino Watson – The Bulls true freshman saw his first action against Notre Dame and in his first home game against Ball State made an impact registering 5 tackles with 3 tackles for a loss and was an big inside presence on the Bulls defensive line.

WR Lindsey Lamar – As a freshman Lamar name became known after making big plays on kickoff returns and being named the Big East special teams player of the year, and already made a huge impact this year after out leaping Notre Dame's Michael Floyd to recover the onside kick and sealing the Bulls win. Besides being a return man and a special teams ace, Lamar is making his way as a receiver in the Bulls revamped offense
