James Hamilton, Olympia's standout two-way lineman that committed to FSU has swithced his commitment and now will head to USF.
"To tell you the truth I de-committed from Florida State last night," Hamilton told USFNation.com. "I committed to USF tonight."
The 6-foot-4, 330 pound monster lineman had over 20 offers before choosing FSU this summer, but the Bulls never backed off.
"I don't want to go into why I de-committed, but I committed to USF for a lot of reasons," said Hamilton. "I feel very good about my decision. It was the best one for me and my family."
USFNation.com reported earlier that Hamilton was at the USF game this past weekend and on Monday returned with his mother for an unofficial visit.
"She wanted to meet the coaches face to face and ask them some questions," said Hamilton. "She asked about the school, the staff, me playing, and academics. She liked it and find out everything she needed to."
Hamilton said there were many reasons why he chose USF with the coaching staff being a big part.
"I like the coaching staff and have a good relationship with them. They're real good people, all of them, and I fell they're there for me," said Hamilton. "I like the players and I also feel I have a good chance to come in and play early as a true freshman."
Hamilton said he's happy with his decision said he'll only take one official visit and that will be to USF during the season.
