USF football fans can rejoice after North Marion's Sean Price, the 4-star elite tight end has faxed in his LOI to USF.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect has been committed to USF since this summer, but several programs were still trying to lure the 4-star tight end away from the Bulls, including Oklahoma and Georgia. As expected Price ended the speculation when his LOI came in today.
"Athletic, receiving tight end," said Holtz on Price. "I think it bodes well for our future at that position. Very athletic."
The 6-foot-3, 233-pound athlete had an offer list that is as impressive as anyone with more than 30 scholarship offers from some of the top programs in the country including Florida, Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame, Michigan, South Carolina, Miami, and Tennessee but narrowed his choices down to USF, Oklahoma, and Georgia before ultimately choosing the Bulls.
"There is so much to like about USF," said Price. When I visited with them and got to hang with Coach McGeoghan, Coach Scott, Coach Holtz, the whole staff, and some of the players, I felt like it was one big family and I wanted to be part of it."
"The campus was real nice, the facilities are awesome and it's a place where I feel like I can grow into a man at. The whole atmosphere there is electric," said Price. "They're a young team and are just going to get better and better, and I know I can go in there and play my freshman year."
Price is a 3-star prospect ranked the 12th top TE in the country, and is a Scout 300 prospect.
