Taylor Marini, a standout tight end from Oviedo was one of the many prospects attended the USF spring game this past Saturday.

"It went really great, we really enjoyed it," said Marini. "I thought it was a lot of fun and it was very cool being in the Buc's Stadium.

The Lake Mary Tight end liked watching the team go live and thought a few of the local players stood out.

"I think they did a good job. I thought they played hard, had a good tempo, and played with a lot of intensity," said Marini. "I thought that linebacker Mike Lanaris and tight end Evan Landi stood out. They both played hard, and Landi almost had a long TD."

Marini has already seen the Bulls practice this spring but came in early to take a tour of the USF campus and see the facilities and was very impressed.

"It was amazing I really liked the campus and was really impressed with the facilities," said Marini. "The facilities were top notch, but that was only to be expected with a school like USF."

The Oviedo prospect also got to talk with the coaching staff while on his visit and heard a few encouraging things.

"The coaches expressed that they want me there," said Marini. "They also said they feel that I could help the program."

After touring the USF facilities, watching the game and talking with the players and coaches' one thing stood out to Marini about the Bulls. The visit also affected how he felt about the USF program.

"The family atmosphere while we toured the campus and watched the game was something that stood out to us," said Marini. "It only confirmed my suspicions that USF is a great place to be."

Fresh off his visit, Marini, who has five offers from South Florida, Rutgers, Louisville, Temple, and FIU, has a short list of favorites.

"My favorites are USF, Louisville, Rutgers, Temple, and Cincinnati," said Marini. "They're in no particular order.

The stand-out tight end said he won't wait until signing day to make his decision and knows what he's looking for in a program.

"I want to decide before the season starts," said Marini. "I want to go to a place where I feel I can receive the best education, but where I can contribute to the team with playing time."
