3-star Georgia OL Threatt commits to USF

The USF staff got good news when 3-star Georgia offensive lineman Dominique Threat from East Point, GA committed to the Bulls. The 6-foot-2, 290 pound guard, who recently visited USF is rated the No. 70 best guard in the country. Read on for all the details and found out why he chose to play for the Bulls.

"Yes sir I committed to South Florida," said Threatt. "I talked to the assistant coach and Head Coach and told them I want to be a Bull!"

The 6-foot-2, 290 pound guard chose the Bulls over other offers from Georgia, Louisville, and Arkansas, and said why he picked to play for USF.

"I loved the campus, their education program and the opportunities I'll have there," said Threatt. "USF is a great program and are going to do big things."

The 3-star offensive guard recently visited USF and was more than impressed.

"When I went on my visit, it just blew my mind," said Threatt. "Everything was great and I knew that's where I wanted to play."

"The campus is beautiful and has everything you could need right there. I'll never have to leave it for anything," said Threat. "The weather is beautiful, and I could just see myself going there. It's just perfect."

"The football facilities were simply outstanding," said Threatt. "I love how everything looks, and it's all new and modern. They got great practice fields, a real nice weight room, and everything you could possibly need."

The standout lineman said the staff was a big reason for his choice as well.

"I spoke a lot with my recruiting coordinator Coach Larry Scott, he seems like a really good guy, and a great coach," said Threatt. "I also talked with the offensive line Coach Steve Shankweiler, and he seems like a great coach and always has a good positive attitude."

 "They recruiting me as an offensive guard," said Threatt. "They told me they love how I play and will be very good in their system."

Threat is a 3-star prospect rated the 70 best guard in the Nation, and says what makes him a good lineman.

"My attitude and strength," said Threatt "Also my mental approach to the game and how physical I play."

As far as recruiting goes, Threatt said he's done with the process.

"No I I'm not going to take any visits except for to USF," said Threatt. "I'm very excited to be a Bull!"
