Zach Benjamin, a standout wide receiver at Tampa Catholic that has been on the rise this recruiting cycle and received big news on Tuesday.
"Yeah I got a big offer tonight from USF," said Benjamin.
The 6-foot-5, 190-pound Benjamin got word from Bulls Head Coach Skip Holtz himself.
"Coach Holtz wanted me to call him tonight," said Benjamin. "After talking for a little bit, he told me I had an offer on the table."
The senior receiver already had double digit offers including ones from Air Force, Western Kentucky, Arkansas State, Bowling Green, Colgate, Massachusetts, Ohio, and. But his latest offer carried a lot of weight to the local product.
"It feels awesome!" Benjamin said. "They're my first BCS offer and a school I'm a big fan of."
"I like that it's close to home and it's a program on the rise," said Benjamin. "I feel comfortable there and have a good relationship with the coaches."
Benjamin, a.k.a ‘Big Bird' is a large target that caught 13 passes for 280 yards and scored five touchdowns as a junior. So far this season Benjamin has 15 catches for 251 yards and 5 TDS, with 16.73 yards per catch average.Click here to share your thoughts with other USF insiders
