USF back in the mix for 3-star CB McCollum

Troy McCollum, a 3-star corner back out of North Miami, has opened his recruitment back up and the Bulls are on his list of favorites. Read on for all the details and see why the Bulls are back in it.

North Miami's Troy McCollum, a 3-star corner back recently backed off his pledge to FIU and has opened things back up.

"I decommitted from FIU due the coaching change," said McCoullum. "And have reopened up my recruitment."

The 6-foot, 185 pound defensive back said there are a lot of schools recruiting him, but has a top list of schools.

"I have Indiana, TCU, USF, Hawaii & Utah State," said McCollum. "All have offered except for TCU. They're in no particular order."

The Miami Standout, who committed to FIU back in August talked about why the Bulls are back in the mix.

"They have always been on my board and they were in my top two," said McCollum. "When I committed they backed off, but we've open things back up."

Now that he's reopened his recruitment, the standout defensive back mentioned what he liked about the Bulls program.

"They're back in it because I like their program and my relationship with Coach Scott is very good," said McCollum. "Also I can see myself making an impact there.

McCollum said he's been talking about visits but nothing has been set.

"I still have not scheduled or set up any official visits," McCollum said. "Dates have been mentioned for Indiana and Hawaii, but aren't official yet.
