"It was a real good camp, the competition was real good, and I love competing against the best," said Knox. "We also did a little 7on7 at the end, so it was fun and not just all work. They staff was real cool to be around"
The 6-foot-6, 260-pound offensive lineman got to work with the Bulls staff and picked up a few things.
"I worked out at offensive tackle and did real well," said Knox, "The O-line coach Wells was giving me some pointers on my drop step, because we don't do that like that. He told me I was doing a real good job."
"I enjoyed it and it was pretty good working the staff," said Knox. "They're good coaches, they teach, mentor, and all that. Instead of just telling you to do it, they explain how and why. I got a good vibe from them. They seem very open and welcoming. "
Knox, who has been to USF several times since he committed to UF, came in early for a third time so his mother could see the campus.
"My mom has never seen it and I liked it a lot," said Knox. "I like it too. It's big, has real nice facilities and I really like the dorms.
The Deland standout also got to talk with Bulls Head coach Willie Taggart while on campus, and heard some good things.
"Coach T. is a real cool coach. We just talked to me about my recruitment status and how much they like me and wants me," said Knox."He said that I could go to Florida and be ordinary or go to USF and do something extraordinary."
"I'm still committed." said Knox. "I'm just checking things out and keeping my options open."
As of now the Bulls haven't extended an offer, but Knox still has an interest in USF.
"I have them high on my list," said Knox. "The recent visit bumped them up for sure."
Knox talked about why he has interest in the Bulls program
"I like the offense they run. It's the 49er's style offense and that is good for my style," said Knox. "It's a good program, they're starting their own traditions, and I'd have a good chance for early playing time. I could be something special there and make my own mark."
