Sarasota DB/RB Mack gets Big offer

Sarasota (Fl.) Booker High Marlon Mack is becoming a hot commodity as offers keep coming in. The two-standout attended the USF Saturday Night Live Elite Camp and picked up a big offer. Mack talks about the Camp, getting the USF offer, where the Bulls stand.

Marlon Mack, a two-way player at Sarasota Booker whose recruitment has just started to take off, was one of the top prospects at that attended the USF Saturday Night Live Elite Camp.

"It was a nice camp, the stadium was cool and I liked how they ran the camp," said Mack. "Overall I had a good time."

The 5-11.5, 187 pound prospect is being recruited on both sides of the football and had over 1000 yards rushing on offense but, but worked out primarily with the Bulls staff at DB.

"They had me DB for the camp and think I'd make a great safety," said Mack. "They were working on my backpedaling, flipping my hips, and turning around running and catching the ball. It was all real good."

The Booker standout had a god time working with the staff and enjoyed the experience.

"Working with the staff was great and a nice experience," said Mack. "I talked a lot with the DB Coach Cooper, he said I did a great job and to just keep working hard."

Mack's recruitment has just taken off, but he already has 8 offers including ones from Iowa State, Middle Tennessee, Marshall, Ball State, Florida Atlantic, and Florida International, but just got a big one.

"USF just offered me at the time of the camp," said Mack. "Coach Taggart told me they got an offer for me coming, and then told me about it."

The Sarasota prospect was thrilled to get the instate offer and plans on visiting the campus soon.

 "That was real nice and it felt great," said Mack. "That was the biggest school that offered me yet."

"I like USF, it's a good program and they have a good staff," said Mack. "They're also real close to home. I haven't seen the campus yet but I'm going to try to do it soon. My mom came out here to try and get her degree, so I'm going to try and see it."

With programs just beginning to show interest and offer, Mack said he hasn't had tome yet to form a list of favorites

 "Not really, my recruitment just started really and I've gotten a bunch of offers recently," said Mack. "So I'm just trying to take it all in right now.""
