A smooth athlete with great footwork, Pellage possesses all the tools to be a successful offensive lineman at the next level, passing the eye test at 6'7 250-pounds. With still two years of HS football left on his plate, Christian still has plenty time to get stronger and to put on weight with schools from every region ecstatic to possibly get him in their strength and conditioning programs to fulfill his potential.
Currently holding offers from Virginia and USF, several other schools have inquired about the athletic tackle prospect and USFNation.com caught up with him for the latest.
Having Coach Taggart and the Bulls nearby, USF has definitely sparked an interest with Pellage and he's eager to hear more from them.
"I like how they're close and they're in the area," Pellage said. "I've talked to Coach Taggart a couple of times, he's a good guy. I like what he's doing and how he's trying to keep everyone around home, he's trying to build a legacy."
The Pellages are looking to visit the Virginia Cavaliers around Thanksgiving time, but don't have a firm date as of yet to head up north. Two things Christian does know is what factors are going to lead him to collegiate choice and his timetable for his decision.
"I want to go to a college with a good education, hopefully a good football program too," Pellage said. "Those are the two big things, and then location also. I plan on making my decision whenever the time is right."
