On Thursday night, the South Florida Bulls played their best game of the season yet lost to the Houston Cougars, 35-to-24. Despite the loss, see which USF Bull was awarded the game ball by USFNation.com.
On Thursday night, the South Florida
Bulls fell to (2-6,2-2) on the season to the hands of the Houston
Cougars, 35-to-23. Despite the loss, numerous USF fans will be going to bed easier this week knowing they've finally found their quarterback.
After starting three different quarterbacks through the first seven games, coach Willie Taggart gave the keys to true freshman quarterback Mike White to drive the bus for the Bulls against Houston.
The Fort Lauderdale native surpassed everyone's expectations by throwing for 311 yards on 26-of-41 passing with a touchdown and interception. White's first career touchdown was early in the second quarter to tight end Mike McFarland. The McFarland touchdown was his first career touchdown and USF's first offensive touchdown in 13 quarters.
White's performance was the most passing yards for a USF QB since B.J. Daniels threw for 312 yards against Ball State in the fourth game last year.
With that being said, USFNation has awarded freshman QB Mike White the game ball from the AAC matchup between Houston and South Florida.
