Allen Jr. pushes USF past George Mason

The Bulls improved to 5-2 on the season after defeating George Mason by the score of 68-66 behind Corey Allen Jr..

Fairfax, Va.--- After trailing by 17 points with 12:19 to play in the game, South Florida (5-2) rallied back against George Mason (5-3) on Wednesday for the victory by the score of 68-66 inside the Patriot Center.

First year Bull Corey Allen Jr. hit a fadeaway jumper from 10-feet out with seconds to go to push the Bulls past the Patriots. The guard finished with 19 points, five rebounds, two assists and three steals to lead coach Stan Heath's squad.

Bulls' freshman forward Chris Perry recorded his first double-double of his career, finishing with 14 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks on 5-of-7 shooting.

The Bulls shot just 1-9 (11.1%) from downtown for the game, but managed to pick up a very significant road win.

The Bulls return home on Saturday to square off against the Alabama Crimson Tide at 9:00 p.m. inside the Sun Dome.
