Lynch Declares for the NFL Draft

In a surprising decision, South Florida redshirt sophomore defensive end Aaron Lynch declared his name in the 2014 NFL Draft on Tuesday morning.

TAMPA BAY, FL.--- On Tuesday, former Freshman All-American and South Florida defensive end, Aaron Lynch, declared for the 2014 NFL Draft and with forgo his final two seasons of eligibility in Tampa Bay.

"We thank Aaron for his contributions to our program over the past two years and wish him all the best in his future," USF head coach Willie Taggart said on Tuesday morning. "We look forward to Aaron representing USF well in the NFL."

The Cape Coral (Fla.) native was a First Team All-AAC selection in 2013 after finishing the season with 30 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and six sacks.

The 6-foot-6, 245-pound redshirt sophomore spent two years at Notre Dame prior to transferring to South Florida shortly before the 2012 season, which he had to sit out due to NCAA transfer regulations.
