Rudd, Perry Snag AAC Honors

On Monday morning, freshman Chris Perry and senior Victor Rudd received prestigious weekly honors from the American Athletic Conference.

TAMPA BAY---A day after the South Florida Bulls fell to 8-3 on the season from the hands of the Mississippi State Bulldogs, forward's Chris Perry and Victor Rudd received weekly honors from the American Athletic Conference.

For the third time this season, freshman Chris Perry received AAC Rookie of the Week honors for his stellar play. The 6-foot-8, 250-pound Bartow native averaged 9.0 points and 8.7 rebounds guiding the Bulls to a 2-1 record. Against Mississippi State, the freshman had 14 points and 9 rebounds. Combined for all three contests, Perry racked up 27 points and 26 rebounds for the Bulls.

Against Mississippi State on Sunday night, electrifying senior forward Victor Rudd recorded his third straight double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds. In the three games against the Bulldogs, Florida Gulf Coast and Florida A&M, Rudd combined for 59 points and 35 rebounds, while averaging 19.7 points and 11.7 rebounds
