Weimerskirch Could Be Close to Second Offer

After a breakout junior season which he rushed for more than 2000 yards, Pace (Fla.) running back Quaide Weimerskirch has seen his recruitment heat up as of late.

Durable as they come, 2015 Pace (Fla.) running back Quaide Weimerskirch exploded onto the high school football scene for the 5-6 Patriots this season. The 6-foot-0, 200-pound ball carrier wore down opposing defenses for 2,308 yards and 27 touchdowns on 359 carries, averaging 6.4 yards per carry on the season.

Weimerskirch's stellar play recently earned him his first scholarship from Florida Atlantic, as well as ascending interest from South Florida, South Carolina, Boston College, Missouri, and East Carolina.

One school that's been in consistent contact with the Pace workhorse has been the South Florida Bulls, who Weimerskirch thinks could be offering in the near future.

"I've been in touch with coach Stu Holt and he said they want to offer me here soon," Weimerskirch said. "I went on an unofficial visit there at USF and they have a nice looking campus, great looking facilities, nice stadium, and I love how they run their offense."

Weimerskirch still has over a year until he has to make his college decision, but the running back knows what he's looking for in his future home.

"I just want to find the place I fit in the best."
