Bulls Fall to 1-4 in the AAC

The No. 19 Cincinnati Bearcats won their tenth consecutive game on Saturday night, beating the South Florida Bulls by the score of 61-54.

TAMPA BAY, FL.-- The No. 19 Cincinnati Bearcats (17-2, 6-0) won their tenth consecutive game on Saturday night, defeating the South Florida Bulls (10-8, 1-4) by the score of 61-54 inside the Sun Dome. The conference's leading score, Sean Kilpatrick, led the Bearcats with 18 points on the night. Shaquille Thomas chipped in with ten points for Mick Cronin's team as well.

After tonight's road victory, Cincinnati extended their streak of holding an opponent to under 70 points to 26 consecutive games, which leads the nation. The school record at the University of Cincinnati is 35 games.

For the Bulls, that's their second straight loss. Guard, Javontae Hawkins, led the Bulls with a career high 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including 2-of-3 from three-point range. Victor Rudd contributed with 12 points and nine rebounds as well.

It doesn't get much easier going forward for Stan Heath's ball club. They square off with the 19th-ranked Louisville Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. in front of their home crowd on Wednesday.
