Over the weekend, local product, Zach Hudson, a 6-foot-6, 275-pound three-star offensive tackle from Tampa (Fla.) Sickles, took an official visit across town to checkout Willie Taggart's program, and came away very impressed.
"I arrived on Saturday, but I don't remember exactly what time," Hudson said. "I've already visited most of the campus and met all the coaches, so I already knew that. What really helped me was meeting all the players and it seemed like I got along with all of them. My host for the weekend was Thor (Jozwiak), the offensive lineman."
"Mike White and Thor were talking to me a lot and were in my ear. It was good," Hudson said. "The only recruit I really spoke with that much was Josh Black because we go to school together."
If Hudson decides to play his college football at home in front of his friends and loved ones, the Bulls' staff said that opportunity could present itself early on in his career.
"They said I have a chance to start as a freshman and I could get a great education," Hudson said. "They also said they really need a tackle and it's a good family atmosphere."
After enjoying Busch Gardens, the USF Men's Basketball game, having dinner on a yacht in the Gulf of Mexico, and much more, Hudson has gave the Bulls a great review.
"My visit was a nine out of ten, which is pretty good."
Hudson plans to announce his decision shortly after he returns home from his official visit to N.C. State this weekend. But don't expect a press conference underneath the bright lights with the media when he announces his college decision.
"I'm done visiting schools after this weekend," Hudson said. "By the end of the week after I come from my visit, I'll have my decision by then. I'm not really a press conference kind of guy. I might just release it twitter, but I don't know yet."
